Good Tyms

Terms of Use

Last updated 14 October 2026

These terms are the licence agreement for the Good Tyms app on Android. They are a legal agreement between you and GOOD TYMS LTD ("Good Tyms", "we", "us" or "our"), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 16920023). By installing or using Good Tyms on Android, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.

If you got Good Tyms from Apple's App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies instead of these terms.

1. Your licence

We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Good Tyms on Android devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial use, as allowed by the Google Play Terms of Service. Members of your Google Play family group may use the app where Google Play allows it. This licence also covers any updates or add-ons we provide, unless they come with their own terms.

The app is licensed to you, not sold. We and our licensors keep all rights not expressly given to you, including the app's design, artwork, card styles, animations, sounds and the fonts we supply. Good Tyms is not intended for children under 13.

2. What you can't do

You may not:

If you break these rules, your licence ends automatically and we may take action under the law.

3. Premium, subscriptions and purchases

Good Tyms is free to download. Some features need Premium, which you can buy through Google Play as a Monthly or Yearly subscription or as a one-off Lifetime purchase. Prices are shown in the app before you buy and include any taxes Google Play adds.

We may add, change or remove Premium features over time. If we remove a major feature you paid for, we will tell you in the app.

4. Your cards and content

Your cards, photos, notes, attachments and anything else you add stay yours. We don't claim ownership of them. They are kept on your device and, if you turn it on, in your own Google Drive backup.

When you choose to share a card, you give us permission to store and show the shared content so the people you share it with can open it. You can stop sharing at any time. Please only add or share content you have the right to use, and don't share anything unlawful, hateful or harmful.

You are responsible for keeping a backup of anything important. We can't recover content that has been deleted from your device or your Google account.

5. Technical information we use

You agree that we may collect and use technical information about your device and the app, such as the app and Android version, device model, crash reports and which features are used. We use it to provide updates, support and other services, and to fix and improve the app. We only use it in a form that doesn't identify you personally.

Analytics and crash reports are optional and can be turned off in Settings under Privacy. Our Privacy Policy explains in full what the app processes and the choices you have.

6. AI features

Good Tyms includes an optional assistant that can suggest card ideas, answer questions and help fill in details. Where your device supports it, it runs using on-device AI.

AI answers can be wrong, out of date or incomplete. Check anything important, such as dates, travel details or prices, before you rely on it. The assistant doesn't give medical, legal, financial or other professional advice.

7. Other services and content

Some features show or use services and content from other companies, such as Google Drive backup, Google Play, Unsplash photos, downloadable fonts, maps, weather, place details and links to websites. You use them at your own risk.

8. Updates and changes

We may update the app to fix problems, add features or meet legal requirements. Some updates may be needed to keep using the app. We may change these terms from time to time; if a change is significant, we'll tell you in the app or on this page before it takes effect. Using the app after that means you accept the new terms.

9. Ending this agreement

This agreement lasts until you or we end it. You can end it at any time by deleting the app. It ends automatically if you break these terms, and we may also end or suspend your licence if you seriously or repeatedly break them. When it ends, you must stop using the app and delete it. Sections 4, 10, 11, 12 and 15 continue after the agreement ends.

10. The app is provided "as is"

We work hard to make Good Tyms reliable, but to the extent the law allows, the app and the services in it are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We don't promise that the app will meet your needs, always be available or error-free, that faults will be fixed, or that reminders and notifications will always arrive on time. Nothing anyone at Good Tyms says or writes to you creates a warranty.

If you are a consumer, you have legal rights in relation to digital content that is faulty or not as described, for example under the UK Consumer Rights Act 2015 or the consumer laws of your country. Nothing in these terms affects those rights.

11. Our liability

We are not responsible for losses that weren't foreseeable, for loss of data, for business losses, or for losses caused by events outside our reasonable control. To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for any claim about the app is limited to the amount you paid for Premium in the 12 months before the claim.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that can't be limited by law.

12. Google

These terms are between you and Good Tyms, not Google. Google isn't responsible for the app or its content.

13. Export and sanctions

You may not use, export or re-export the app where that is against the law, including UK, EU and US export controls and sanctions. By using the app you confirm that you are not in a country under a UK, EU or US embargo and are not on a government list of people or organisations barred from receiving it. You must not use the app to develop, design or make nuclear, chemical or biological weapons or missiles.

14. Government users

The app and its documentation are commercial software, developed at private expense. If you use them on behalf of a government, you get only the rights that every other user gets under these terms.

15. Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in the UK, you can bring a claim in the courts of England and Wales, Scotland or Northern Ireland, depending on where you live. If you live in the EU or elsewhere, you also keep the protection of any mandatory consumer laws of your country and may bring a claim where you live.

The United Nations Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods doesn't apply to these terms. No one other than you and us has any right to enforce them. If a court decides part of these terms can't be enforced, the rest still applies.

16. Translations

These terms may be shown in other languages. If a translation differs from the English version, the English version applies.
